Role Summary
Position : Customer Service & Marketing Representative
Duration : October 2016 – January 2018
This role marked the beginning of my digital marketing career. Working closely with the Head of Digital Marketing and Web Developer, I supported inventory management, social media engagement, and foundational marketing strategy. My responsibilities laid the groundwork for my understanding of digital platforms, user behaviour, and data-informed growth.

- Monitored and updated website content in collaboration with the Web Developer
- Managed product inventory to ensure online listings matched physical stock and availability

How the Results Were Achieved
To grow engagement and revenue, I focused on simplifying the online buying process, making sure popular and high-margin products were always in stock and visible.
Working with the Web Developer, I ensured the website reflected up-to-date listings and information. On social media, I built trust by responding promptly to customer questions and showcasing trending products. I also identified high-performing inventory items and recommended promotions aligned with data, helping boost overall sales performance.
Outcome
This role introduced me to the core principles of data-driven marketing, inventory-led growth strategy, and community management. It laid the foundation for my transition into full-time digital marketing roles and developed my instincts for combining service, product, and content to meet both business and user needs.
